Our payment rails bypass traditional clearing and settlement stakeholders by facilitating those services internally through their platform
Transaction Flow:
- Payer buys goods or services from the merchant and pays using a token
- The merchant requests authorisation from the Celbux PaaS
- Celbux either approves or declines the transaction after checking the token has sufficient funds as well as other predetermined rules and debits account
- Celbux sends a response to the merchant and credits(clearing and settling) the merchant account upon successful request
- The merchant completes the transaction and releases the goods/cash

Celbux was founded in South Africa in 2010. After years of intensive research and development, the first pilots of the Celbux platform launched in 2013, processing transactions across the country.
Early Traction and Validation
Adoption grew steadily as Celbux proven its secure, instantly and low-cost solutions. By onboarding thousands of merchants, millions of transactions were confirmed daily. The platform also powered financial backends.
Expanding Horizons
Based on successes in South Africa, Celbux obtained regulatory approvals to scale its vision globally. Partnerships now span multiple continents. The goal is to connect economies through seamless finance.
A Future in the Making
